Your files stay on your device. PDFs you open in Zine Machine are read, previewed and rearranged by JavaScript running in your browser. They are never uploaded to a server, and nobody, including the person who runs this site, can see them.
No accounts, no cookies. There is nothing to sign up for. The site sets no cookies and does not use advertising or tracking scripts.
No third-party requests. Fonts and libraries are served from this site itself, so opening the page doesn’t send your IP address to font or script CDNs.
Offline storage. To work offline, your browser keeps a copy of the site’s own files (code, fonts, icons) in its cache. It never stores your PDFs there.
Buy Me a Coffee. The support link takes you to buymeacoffee.com, which has its own privacy policy.
Open-source software. Zine Machine uses pdf-lib (MIT licence) to build PDFs and pdf.js (Apache 2.0 licence) to render previews. The fonts are Archivo and IBM Plex (SIL Open Font Licence).
